To enable the energy usage of a building to be reduced it is necessary to determine where the energy is being used.

To determine how a building is performing or where energy is being consumed within particular areas of the building requires the installation of sub metering for all utilities. Once the metering is installed the data collected via the Monitoring and Reporting of the metering enables an Hanover Systems or an Energy Manager to focus on areas of high consumption and put in place energy saving practices to reduce consumption and costs.
