Jennie Backs Pink Campaign
Broadcaster and journalist Jennie Bond will be the special guest speaker at a leading local cancer charity event this week.
The Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF) has announced that the TV personality will be at the charity's annual Think Pink! Luncheon, sponsored by MediCare Pharmacy Group.
Taking place this Friday, at the Europa Hotel, Belfast it is the charity's flagship event, which helps to raise awareness and funds to support local women with breast cancer.
Well known as the BBC's Royal correspondent, Jennie (pictured) is no stranger to breast cancer as her mother has been diagnosed twice with the disease in the last 20 years.
Jennie has also presented the Chelsea Flower Show and she was runner-up in ITV's 'I'm a Celebrity…Get me out of Here', where she was buried in a coffin full of rats and she ate live insects - among other gruelling jungle tasks.
Jennie also hosts Cash in the Attic, The Great British Menu and she is a regular contributor to Channel Four's Countdown.
