Commercial law firm launches 'FORTECH' forum
Commercial law firm, Manches, has launched a new technology forum called 'FORTECH' to provide up to date information and analysis on legal and commercial developments affecting the buyers and suppliers of technology.
FORTECH will initially be built around a series of members' forums and a regular bulletin alert service. Forums will feature guest speakers representing technology suppliers, purchasers and third party advisers, and will address current issues of relevance.
The FORTECH Bulletins will also provide news, insight and analysis of the latest legal and commercial developments, in particular focussing on their impact on members' businesses.
Membership of FORTECH will initially be free, and will be extended to existing and non-Manches' clients, including both UK and international companies.
Commenting on the launch, Jean-Paul da Costa, Manches Partner responsible for FORTECH, said: "Technology is not simply a business tool, but a key driver of commercial success. To maximise competitive advantage companies must understand the increasingly complex impact which technology will have on them, and the environment in which they operate. We believe that FORTECH will provide a forum through which members will meet, learn about the latest issues and find the solutions most appropriate to their needs."
Head of Manches' London Corporate and Technology Group, Melvin Pedro added: "FORTECH is built on Manches' long standing reputation for advising clients in the technology arena, not simply in IT and E-commerce, but also in more established areas such as electronics, engineering, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.
The FORTECH programme represents part of our continuing commitment to technology law as one of the corner stones of our practice."
