Derry Call Centre Jobs To Be Axed
More than 300 call centre staff employed by Stream International in Londonderry are set to lose their jobs, following the company's failure to secure new contracts.
The company, which provides support services for technology firms such as Dell, BT, JVC and Vodafone, has been struggling to find new business in the current economic crisis.
The call centre provides customer service and technical support for computer hardware products.
According to reports, some of the staff have found new jobs with another call centre in the city.

FEXCO Jobs Announcement Welcomed
Fine Gael Kerry TD, Brendan Griffin, has welcomed the news that the Kerry-based company FEXCO is to create 25 new jobs at its facility in Caherciveen. The company made the announcement after it secured a new contract from Aer Lingus to provide call centre services to the airline.

SSE Airtricity Creates Over 140 Call Centre Jobs
SSE Airtricity has confirmed it is to create 143 new jobs in Belfast. The call centre roles will be in the areas of customer service, sales and administrative support. The company currently employs 98 staff in two Belfast offices.
