Fears for missing boy grow as shoes are found
The family of missing Castlederg teenager Brendan Rushe have identified as his a pair of shoes found by the roadside five miles outside Donegal town.
The 15-year-old Tyrone schoolboy has not been seen since leaving the nightclub of the Abbey Hotel, Donegal town, in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police on both sides of the border have been searching since and a coastguard helicopter from Malinhead scanned the Donegal coastline and Donegal Bay without success.
Garda detectives have interviewed residents of Donegal Town, local taxi drivers and nightclub goers in a bid to trace Brendan's movements, and are becoming "seriously concerned" for the boy's safety.
It is understood that the missing boy had arranged to travel home with friends, but stayed on in the nightclub while they took an earlier bus. The last bus left Donegal town at 3am, but Brendan was not among its passengers.
Brendan Rushe is 5' 8" tall, with slim build, dark brown, short hair, brown eyes and has braces on his teeth. He was wearing a cream shirt, grey trousers and black shoes and he had a black jumper with him.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Garda at Donegal Town on: 00353 73 21021.
