Teenagers Die In Omagh Crash
The scene of a double fatality road accident in Co Tyrone remained cordoned off overnight as police investigated the crash.
The accident happened on the main road to Cookstown, around two miles outside Omagh near Mountfield, close to the Carrickmore Maine Crossroads.
Anthony McKenna, 16, and Paul McGrath, 18, died following the crash on the Killyclogher Road, between Omagh and Cookstown, on Thursday afternoon and a third teenager is in hospital in a critical condition after the collision between a car and a tractor just after 3pm.
It appears that the car carrying the three teenagers swerved to avoid an obstacle in the road and hit the tractor carrying a load of grain 'head-on'.
Police in Omagh are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision or has any information to contact them.
The road has since been reopened to traffic.
