Ninety Building Jobs On Way

Up to 90 jobs are to be created as the construction of a new data centre gets underway in Dublin.

StructureTone has been appointed to build the €12 million facility for Interxion Ireland, which will employ 90 construction workers over the initial phase.

The data centre is due to be completed in early 2010.

Once completed, the centre will more than double Interxion's current footprint in Dublin, providing an extra 2,455 square metres of gross equipped space.

200 New Jobs At Facebook's International HQ

The company said it hoped to have the new jobs filled by the end of the year and they will include sales, engineering and online operations positions. The announcement is a key milestone in Facebook's commitment to investing and growing its presence in Ireland.

Jobs Galore In Athlone Retail Boom
Around 1,000 jobs are being created today as a huge new landmark shopping centre is officially opened in Athlone. The €500m Athlone Town Centre development is being described as one of Europe's biggest rejuvenation projects. Around 1,000 people are to work at the centre, which includes shops, a hotel and more than 60 apartments.

Google Create Jobs With New Data Centre
More than 400 jobs are to be created with the construction of a new €150m data centre in Dublin. Google has announced the purchase of a 31 acre site alongside its current facility at Profile Park.
