Newcastle Death: Man Bailed
A man who was being questioned about the death of a woman in her 50s has been freed overnight on bail.
The body of the female was found at her home in the Kenway Drive area of the Co Down town on Wednesday.
The man who was being questioned in connection with the death has been released but the police have said they are still treating the death as suspicious and that a post mortem examination will be carried out later today.
The area around the woman's house remained sealed off overnight while forensic officers examined the scene.
It is understood the woman had lived in the Newcastle area for many years and was sharing the house with her son.

Second Man Arrested Over Liverpool Hit-And-Run
A second man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run in Liverpool in which Co Antrim man Matthew Bradley was killed. The 33-year-old man was detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in Bradford. He has been conditionally bailed to appear in court in December, according to Merseyside Police.

A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.
