JobsNation celebrates successful first year
One year on since the extensive jobs and recruitment website, at www.jobsnation.co.uk, was launched by Flagship Media Group, the JobsNation site has been hailed as an unqualified success.
On the back of a high-profile cross media advertising campaign, the website has regularly attracted up to 54,000 page impressions per week as thousands of prospective jobs seekers and visitors to the website check out the available vacancies.
Flagship Media Group’s Sale Manager, John Lynch, said: “We’ve been very impressed with the high number of hits that JobsNation has been getting on a regular basis. Every week there are around 4,500 individual unique visitors to the site searching the 3,000 jobs available.
“The usage rate rose noticeably, with many more CV’s placed online, following the recent television, radio and print advertising campaign and we are due to run another campaign soon to build on this success.”
“We have examined the rates being charged for companies wishing to use the internet as an opportunity to widely advertise their vacancies. Consequently, our rates for licences at just £600 for the year, or £350 for six-months, with unlimited job placements are very reasonable and provide a cost effective route for clients, recruitment agencies and specialist personnel companies to place their job vacancies on-line.”
The keen rates for JobsNation have attracted over five hundred companies to regularly use the comprehensive facilities on the website.
Kevin Heffernan, Managing Director of specialist and professional recruitment agency Trent ESM said: “We have found JobsNation to be a professional and useful site when sourcing IT, Sales and Engineering candidates. We wish JobsNation every success in the future.”
JobsNation currently has over 3,000 vacancies, of which some 400 are new each day. These jobs are divided into 50 conveniently grouped main categories, which may be browsed from the JobsNation home page. The website has a dedicated news feed on jobs, recruitment, and personnel issues and features a fully searchable database that jobseekers are able to search for jobs by title, keywords, areas and by specifying a target salary range.
Mr Lynch added: “Among the most popular jobs categories to date are Sales, IT / Internet and Engineering. We recommend that jobseekers visit the site regularly as the jobs are changed as soon as our clients have new opportunities available - these often change every day and it’s best to do a search often or you could miss out.” (SP)

Northern Ireland fit out specialist Mivan has announced a major recruitment drive following a host of new orders. The Antrim-based firm will create 100 new jobs, with the first Recruitment Open Day taking place on Saturday 28 January from 10am to 3pm at Mivan's headquarters in Antrim.
