Larne Lough Search Resumes
The hunt continues today - against fading hopes - after a 29-year-old man went missing in Larne Lough at the weekend.
Larne's Graeme Nixon has not been seen since his boat capsized on Mill Bay on Saturday afternoon. Mr Nixon was in a rowing boat, which overturned in Mill Bay while he was picking whelks.
A second man aged in his 30s who was also in the boat managed to get to shore.
Despite an extensive search operation, there has been no sign of Mr Nixon.
The Larne and Port Muck Coastguard Rescue Teams, Larne RNLI inshore lifeboat, Larne RNLI all-weather lifeboat and two other vessels, plus an RAF rescue helicopter and a police helicopter, were all searching the scene on Saturday afternoon.
Belfast Coastguard said the man who made it to the shore told police he had been whelk-picking with another man when their boat capsized in Larne Lough.
