Barclays Bank appoint Spring as online recruitment specialists
Barclays Bank, one of the UK's largest financial services groups, have appointed IT recruitment specialist, Spring to manage the provision of IT and clerical contract and temporary staff.
Using ‘hy-phen,’ Spring's online workforce management solution, Spring IT Personnel will be responsible for delivering all IT requirements giving Barclays' support division access to a pool of highly skilled IT professionals supported by a small pool of approved IT recruiters linked together through the hy-phen application.
This will enable the bank to maintain their position as a technical innovator and leader in the financial services market.
"Our appointment as Master Vendor in Barclays, which has one of the largest IT budgets in the UK, is a recognition of the quality and commitment delivered by our contractors and staff on a daily basis." commented Bill Grubbs, Chief Executive Officer of Spring IT Staffing-UK.
Sue Turner, HR Director of Barclays Bank Group, said: "Spring's in-depth knowledge of the staffing industry and their ability to advise on future market trends made it the obvious partner for us to face today's and prepare for tomorrow's challenges."
Barclays has also chosen Spring to e-enable their recruitment processes. The online workforce management solution hy-phen facilitates the streamlining of the whole recruitment process, from the raising and authorisation of online job requirements, through fulfilment and management to automated hiring processes and online timesheets. It also allows real-time communication, reduced time to hire and cost containment. (SP)
