Crystal Centre To Create 80 Jobs
The new Waterford Crystal visitor centre is hoped to create 80 jobs for the region. Officially opened this week, the Waterford Crystal Experience, incorporating a manufacturing facility, retail store and visitor centre on the Mall in the city centre, will open to the public later this morning.
Manufacturing of crystal pieces, particularly high-end products, will take place on the site, which borders the city's Viking Triangle.
It is hoped that the centre will help to stimulate tourism in the city and wider southeast region, and more than 80 jobs will be created at the centre.
