Tesco To Checkout Hundreds Of Jobs
Over 300 jobs are to be created across a number of areas in the Irish Republic by grocery giant Tesco including Ballybeg, Oranmore and Swinford.
A total of 110 jobs have been created at Galway's Oranmore store and another 110 at the store in Ballybeg, Waterford.
The shop in Swinford in Mayo has created 90 jobs. Another 15 jobs are expected to be created when a Tesco Express Store opens in Newcastle in Galway City next week.
Tony Keohane, Tesco Ireland Chief Executive Officer, said: "We are once again very pleased to highlight Tesco's commitment to Ireland with the opening of these three new stores."

Jobs To Flow From Tesco's New Crumlin Store
Tesco has pledged to recruit as many people as possible from the Co Antrim area now that full planning permission for a new Tesco in Crumlin has been granted. Within a few weeks the company will advertise for staff as it now plans to open the store in 2009.

New Tesco Store To Create 250 Jobs
Up to 250 jobs are to be created by the opening of a new Tesco store in County Fermanagh. The store is to be built on the site of the current Enniskillen Rangers football ground in the Dublin Road area of the town, which Tesco are understood to have paid £1 million to the club in order for them to give up their long-term lease on the ground.

Strike Action At Tesco Stores To Go Ahead
Indefinite strike action will begin at 7am on Thursday 26 May at 70 Tesco stores across Ireland. The strikes will go ahead following the breakdown in talks at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC), the Mandate Trade Union said.
