Two Men Questioned Over Belfast Murder
Two men have been arrested following the murder of a 55-year-old man in west Belfast on Sunday.
Detectives from the PSNI serious crime branch had already said they were following a definite line of inquiry and that they wanted to trace two young men who were seen in the area of Seamus Holland's home after the assault.
A senior detective said on Monday: "We are keen to speak to two young males who were seen in that area shortly after the assault took place as they may have vital information for this investigation."
The victim died at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Sunday just hours after he was found at his home at Upton Court, Glen Road and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
He had sustained injuries to his head and face and died at 1.25pm on Sunday.
Police have now said they had arrested a 29-year-old man and an 18-year-old man in west Belfast.
"However, we are appealing for information that could help us to piece together Seamus' last movements before he was killed," said the PSNI officer.
"We want to speak to anyone who was in the area of Upton Court and Norfolk Grove in the early hours of Sunday morning and saw or heard anything untoward, perhaps an argument or a physical confrontation."
