Liverpool Student Dies
Two men have been arrested after the death of a 20-year-old Tyrone man studying in Liverpool who died after being knocked down by a stolen car. Merseyside Police said Andrew Brendan O'Neill, a student at Liverpool John Moore university, died after the incident, which took place in the early hours of Saturday morning. Mr O'Neill was from Killeen, about three miles outside Coalisland in Co Tyrone. Two men have been charged in relation to the death and a third remains in police custody.
Knifepoint Terror
A female takeaway delivery driver in Tandragee was grabbed by two men - one armed with a knife - while the other looked around the woman's car. She was making the delivery on the Ballymore Road around 6.30pm on Sunday when she was approached, but the assailant with a knife then let her go after she started screaming. The victim was able to drive off, and it's believed the men made off on foot. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
Antrim Bombed Again
Another pipe bomb has been made safe after being found outside a house in Antrim. The army bomb squad was called to the scene at Portlee Walk in the Parkhall estate at 8.30pm on Saturday night - and it is believed it is the same house that was targeted last weekend when two shots were fired through the living room window but no one was injured. Antrim town has been plagued by pipe bomb alerts and shooting incidents over the past few months.
Give Blood Call
The Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service is appealing for new donors to come forward during December. They said that, at this time of year it can be difficult to maintain a safe supply of blood to hospitals as attendances at blood donation sessions can drop because of extra shopping, seasonal colds and flu, and other activities in the run up to Christmas. Paul McElkerney a spokesperson for the Service said: "The nearer we are to Christmas the busier we all become, but you should never be too busy to save someone's life. The appeal for new blood donors will be launched at special blood donation sessions held throughout NI, week commencing the 29th of November.
Windows Firm Agrees CVA
Banbridge window manufacturer Bowmans NI Ltd has begun insolvency procedures with all 31 employees made redundant as the company entered into a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA). Administrator Walter Lismore, from the Lismore Group, said: "This particular industry has contracted over the past few years as the UK and Irish recessions have developed and the company has become a casualty of that," he added. The aluminum window manufacturer set up business in 1970.

Patients warned after blood donor's CJD diagnosis
There are concerns that a small number of haemophiliacs in Northern Ireland and Scotland may have received blood products from a donor who later was diagnosed with variant Creutzfeld-Jacob disease (vCJD). Health agencies in Scotland have written to patients warning them that they may have been given treatments derived from the donor's blood.
