Consultancy Firm To Create 100 Dublin Jobs
Consultancy Firm Accenture has announced it will create 100 new highly-skilled jobs over the next four years adding to the firm's 1,300 staff in Ireland.
The Centre is backed by the Investment & Development Agency (IDA) Ireland and will focus on "innovative development of sophisticated techniques" to be used in fraud analysis, called 'business analytics'.
In a statement by the company released today, the centre is planned to further expand its capabilities over time, demonstrating and developing "cross-functional" and "cross-industry" prediction services.
Mark Ryan, country managing director of Accenture in Ireland said: “The Centre is the first Accenture innovation centre of its kind to be located in Ireland and is designed to help accelerate the development, delivery and commercialization of innovative predictive analytics solutions employing a mixture of technology experts and management scientists.
"Many of the 100 new roles created will be focussed specifically on research and development and we are currently recruiting both graduates and experienced hires with analytical and statistics experience ranging from PhD level to graduate level.”
Welcoming the announcement, IDA Ireland CEO, Barry O’Leary said: "These strategically important investments are testament to the talent and expertise available in Ireland, the pro-business environment and Ireland’s strong track record in attracting knowledge based and technology investments. IDA is extremely pleased to support this further investment by Accenture in Ireland.”
The business analytics market, including advanced analytics and other related services is expected to continue to grow, estimated by the International Data Corporation to exceed $48billion globally by 2013.
