Retraining 'Provides Route Back To Work'
A training course in the Irish Republic which is proving to be particularly popular with those who previously worked in the construction sector has been a success.
The Water Meter Installer course, delivered by Chevron Training, ensures that learners possess the knowledge and skills to competently install domestic water meters.
This skill will prove to be beneficial to many former construction workers who are currently seeking employment as the installation of water meters to more than one million homes is due to begin this year.
The roll out of domestic water meters will provide considerable commercial opportunities for trained water meter installers as up to 6000 jobs will created through this initiative.
Karl Fitzpatrick, Director of the award winning Chevron Training, said: "We have witnessed an unprecedented demand for this course as we have received over 1000 enquiries about this course.
"Furthermore we have already trained more than 300 people as water meter installers," confirmed Mr.Fitzpatrick.
