Master Builders Lobby Stormont Assembly
The Stormont Finance Minister Sammy Wilson has welcomed a publication from the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) challenging politicians to focus on the needs of the construction industry.
The Minister (pictured) was guest speaker at the launch of FMB's policy document 'Building for Success in Northern Ireland' held in Parliament Buildings.
FMB state that their policy recommendations are designed to pave the way for sustainable economic success and they are seeking the support of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Speaking at the launch, the DUP Minister Sammy Wilson said: "It is widely acknowledged that a vibrant construction sector benefits the economy as a whole.
"In this regard engagement between government and the construction sector is critical to ensure that we recover from the current economic downturn.
"Government listens to industry views and understands the difficulties it is facing.
"We must consider practical means to address the issues and therefore the publication of these policy recommendations is welcomed."
