Ultimate Ulster Rolled Out For Easter
Northern Ireland TV viewers are set for another run of the popular local series, Ultimate Ulster.
Produced by Televisionary for UTV, it returns on Easter Monday at 8pm for a new ten part series.
Presented by Frank Mitchell, Ultimate Ulster features the top 10 guides to Northern Ireland, as chosen by local people.
This year Frank unveils the best place for a romantic wedding, most loved 'showbiz' personality, most important historical site, best kept neighbourhood, best place to get away from it all, most admired Ulster woman, best place to spend a day with kids, most breathtaking view and the one thing viewers would change about Northern Ireland and their favourite UTV moment.
Jeremy Hibbard, Creative Director, Televisionary, said: "We're delighted that, three series in, Ultimate Ulster continues to create a buzz, even before the series is shown.
"Yet again this format shows that it can throw up great stories, surprising revelations and an exciting climax to every programme," he said.
Michael Wilson, Managing Director, UTV said: "It's hard to believe that it has been four years since we showed the first Ultimate Ulster programme on UTV and I am delighted that the series has captured the public's imagination like no other.
"Ultimate Ulster has been the best performing regional programme in the whole of the ITV Network and I believe this new series is set to be a winner with viewers," he commented.
The man himself, Ultimate Ulster presenter, Frank Mitchell, said: "The brilliant thing about Ultimate Ulster is that the content is chosen by the people of Northern Ireland.
"This isn't an arbitrary list chosen in a locked room; this is what everyone across Northern Ireland has chosen. The votes were cast last year and it is a real privilege to be able to unveil the Top 10," he enthused.
