Continental Market Arrives This Friday
The ever-popular Continental Market will return to City Hall grounds this Friday, Belfast city council has announced.
The market will see some 100 traders from across Europe returning to the grounds to the City Hall for another weekend of food, drink and entertainment at the annual Spring Bank Holiday Continental Market.
As always, a delicious range of unusual foods from around the world will be available, including waffles, crepes macaroons, handcrafted cheeses, homemade taramasalata, houmous and authentic German bratwurst sausages.
There will also be on-site bars, serving the best of local and continental brews.
A range of products will also be on sale including plants and shrubs from Holland, as well as crafts and gifts from China and Thailand including beads and bracelets, handmade Russian dolls and wooden artefacts from Kenya.
The market opens on Friday 27. The opening hours are Saturday: 10am - 10pm, Sunday 29 May: 1pm - 6pm and Monday 30 May: 10am - 6pm.

L'Derry Halloween 'Most Successful Ever'
This year's Banks of the Foyle Halloween Carnival has been described by Derry City Council as the "most successful" ever, with over 30,000 people taking to the streets to witness the Curious Carnival of Lost Souls ahead of a fireworks display over the River Foyle.

New Job Creation Scheme Announced
Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey has announced an innovative new scheme to create jobs and meet the needs of employers. The Labour Market Partnerships (LMP) initiative will see targeted employment action plans created in every council area to support people towards and into work, including young people and those with disabilities.
