Open + Direct review takes Gold Award
Open + Direct's Annual Review was awarded gold in the Astrid Awards, which honour outstanding achievement in graphics and print design.
The document, entitled 'Take One', received the Gold Award in the Overall Presentation category. The title of the review was chosen to represent Open + Direct's first year in business.
Head of Communications at Open + Direct, Liz Young said: "We are very pleased that our Annual Review has received recognition for its creative design. When producing the Review, we were conscious of the need to ensure that our message is effectively communicated and wanted the review to be both informative and interesting.”
The Astrid Award symbolises the stellar qualities of creativity, craft and originality in design. Categories include advertisements, brochures, calendars and campaigns among others. (MB)

The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church has called for continuing patience from those hit by the Presbyterian Mutual Society's collapse. He was commenting after PMS members again met to assess progress towards a resolution for those who remain unable to access their investments in the Society, which entered administration in October 2008.
