NI Rockers At Scottish 'Highway To Hell'
Three Northern Ireland bands will be flying the flag for the local rock scene in Glasgow in October.
Trucker Diablo, Last Known Addiction and Sweet Taste are taking part in 'Highway To Hell 2' – a 24-band competition at the Classic Grand on the weekend of 21 - 22 October.
Over the two days, the audience will vote for four bands to earn slots at one of three annual festivals – 'Hard Rock Hell V' and 'Hammerfest IV', in Prestatyn in December and March respectively, and 'Hard Rock Hell Road Trip' in Ibiza next June.
More than 600 bands – including six from NI - entered the competition. Four of the local outfits qualified for the final 24, but Black Freeway had to pull out after singer Matt Fitzsimons left to join Last Known Addiction.
The Big List's new Rock and Metal Correspondent Mark Ashby will be joining the bands on their 'Highway To Hell' and reporting exclusively on the outcome.
