Bryan Adams plays to record-breaking crowd
Around 9,000 fans turned out for what is believed to be the largest ever-outdoor concert in Londonderry, after Canadian superstar, Bryan Adams wowed the Maiden City crowd with a string of his greatest hits.
While being the star's only performance in Ireland this year the Canadian rocker delivered a cracking show in the city’s Prehen playing fields with hit singles such as ‘Summer of ‘69’ and the record-breaking, 'Everything I do, I do it for you' from the film, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
The musician last played in Ireland when he headlined the annual Slane concert in County Meath last year, were he performed alongside Spice Girl Melanie C, dance act Moby and soul singer Macy Gray.
Speaking on his arrival in Londonderry, Mr Adams said he was looking forward to the concert. (MB)

Work Underway For Free Hospital Parking In Northern Ireland
Work has begun at several hospital sites across Northern Ireland as part of the preparations for the introduction of free car parking in May 2026. Health and Social Care Trusts have been actively preparing for the implementation of a new traffic management system since the Hospital Parking Charges Act was passed in 2022.

A 33-year-old man has been extradited from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland to face serious charges. The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon.
