Separate Arson Attacks Probed In Co Antrim
There was a petrol bomb attack in the Co Antrim port town of Larne at the weekend.
The incident in Carson Street was reported to police shortly before 4am on Sunday and while no one was injured in the attack a car was damaged.
The PSNI in Larne have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
East Antrim Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson has also condemned those behind the incident.
Damage was also caused to the wall and floor of the block of flats.
Stewart Dickson MLA said: "I am disgusted at this senseless attack. It is deeply troubling that anyone could bring themselves to carry out an act of this nature.
"My thoughts are with the owner of the vehicle and this must be a very difficult time for them.
"To have something that is your property damaged in an incident like this must be very traumatic. People in the area are shocked at this disgraceful incident and I would appeal to anyone with information on this to contact police immediately," he urged.
Meanwhile, in a separate weekend blaze, six people were treated after inhaling smoke during a fire in north Belfast.
Police are treating the fire in the landing of a block of flats at Skegoneill Avenue as arson.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service helped five people from the block of flats shortly after 3.30am on Sunday where they were treated by ambulance staff at the scene of the fire.

An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) has introduced a new online tool to help residents assess their home fire safety. The Home Fire Safety Check coincides with Fire Safety Week, which runs from September 30th to October 6th. The initiative aims to reduce the number of house fires in Northern Ireland.

Arson attacks in County Londonderry
Police in County Londonderry have appealed for information after a number of houses were damaged by arsonists in the early hours of this morning. Three houses were damaged and telephone lines melted during two separate arson attacks in the Shantallow area.

Police investigate separate arson attacks
Police are appealing for information following separate arson attacks at the weekend. In west Belfast the occupants of a house in Falcarragh Drive discovered two cars on fire outside their property at around 2.30am on Sunday. Such was the intensity of the blaze, the front door of the house was damaged however no one was injured in the incident.
