Cash Kidnap Gang Fail In Robbery Bid
A member of staff at a Co Antrim cash handling facility has been left unhurt but badly traumatised after he and his wife were kidnapped by a gang from their home on Monday.
The PSNI said that armed and masked men entered their house on the Drumaghlis Road in Crossgar between 7.30 and 8.30pm and held the couple overnight before the man was ordered to go to his workplace, in Mallusk, and to remove a sum of cash.
The robbers drove the man was driven in his own car to the Mayfield area of Glengormley where they arrived at approximately 4.20am and after he went to the G4S facility, he was told to meet a man at Boucher Place in west Belfast.
The robber was in a silver Honda Civic car, but before the money, was handed over, the car was driven off and by 9am, the man's wife also freed herself from a house under renovation at Myrtlefield Park in south Belfast, to which she had earlier been taken.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dromara Assault
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.

Man Dies In Portadown Road Crash
An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
