Causeway Technologies acquires Cornix Brickfinder
UK-based Causeway Technologies have announced the acquisition of the entire share capital of software development company Cornix.
Set up in 1997, Cornix’s main product the Brickfinder software package supplies the construction and architectural sectors with high-speed brick matching capabilities.
Cornix Managing Director David Hemming said: “Brickfinder is the most comprehensive visual brick database on the market. In an industry in which product ranges are forever changing we have developed systems that allow us to reflect these changes quickly, allowing our users to make informed decisions about which bricks are most suitable for their projects. The level of detail combined with high quality imaging will provide a strong opportunity to further enhance the breadth and depth of Causeway’s Specnet product selection service to Architects and Engineers.”
Developed by David Hemming, Brickfinder helps architects, local authorities, contractors, and the self build market, to quickly find and match bricks for small or large projects.
With details on over 1,700 bricks from 35 manufacturers, Brickfinder has information on virtually all the currently available bricks in the UK and an ever-growing library of discontinued bricks. Using advanced imaging techniques, Brickfinder is able to deliver quality pictures of available bricks, and up to date details of the bricks.
Causeway’s Chief Executive Officer Phil Brown said: “We are delighted that Cornix has selected Causeway as a business partner. Together with Cornix, we are looking forward to addressing the long term product selection and sourcing needs of the construction industry and in particular focusing on solutions which enable architects, engineers, surveyors, local authorities, designers, and contractors to efficiently select and access specific product information from a single database.”
Causeway Technologies is a market-leading supplier of enterprise and web based collaboration and e-commerce solutions, communications and productivity enhancing technologies, processes and tools to companies and communities that are involved in the design, construction and maintenance of commercial, industrial and infrastructure assets.
