Tenant Boost For Richmond Centre
Three important new lettings at Northern Ireland's Richmond Centre are a significant vote of confidence in the Londonderry scheme.
JD Sports has just opened a new 5,000 sq ft store in time for Christmas, having spent 12 weeks fitting the unit out in its stylish new shop fit. The store will stock the company’s full range of product from major fashion brands to trainers and footwear and will be a major draw for the shopping centre.
Quiz will imminently open a new 1,600 sq ft store, having signed a new 10-year lease on a prominent unit which has been created by the landlord refurbishment of part of the level 3 mall.
Yankee Candle has taken a 2,500 sq ft unit, also on level 3, and has already opened for trade. The scented candle and giftware retailer has opened in time to benefit from the important Christmas trade.
These new lettings add to a number of other deals completed this year to occupiers such as: Cheque Centre, O'Brien's, Card House, Indigo and Wall's Ice Cream.
Lisney Associate Director, Nicky Finnieston, who along with Darren Best of Colliers International, secured the lettings, said: "The Richmond Centre has been open for 26 years and despite difficulties in the past, remains a popular shopping destination in the city.
"Footfall has been increasing week-on-week in recent months, and the recent signings represent an important vote of confidence in the centre’s future. JD Sports had various other options in the city but chose to stay at the Richmond Centre and to expand its presence."
