Three people escape blaze in Ballymena arson attempt
Three people were forced to flee from their Ballymena home after a fire was deliberately started outside the building.
The residents of the house, in Victoria Park, noticed flames outside the front of the building in the early hours of Sunday 5 August, following the setting alight of two tyres outside the front door. The inhabitants, two men and a woman, managed to escape the blaze by climbing through an upstairs window, while firefighters brought the situation under control. The people inside the house were later taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Meanwhile, cannabis with an estimated street value of £100,000 was seized in Ballymena when drugs squad officers stopped a car on the dual carriageway on the outskirts of the town.
A man and a woman have been charged with possession, and possession with intent to supply illegal drugs. (CL)

A gang of masked men smashed the front door of the property in the Dove Gardens are on Thursday, 21 September, however they failed to get in. Woman Dies Following Crash Outside Ballymena
A woman, aged in her 60s, has died following a collision just outside Ballymena last week. Jean Wilkinson was the passenger in a Skoda Fabia that collided with a Honda Civic on the Lisnevenagh Road A26 dual carriageway on Tuesday, 10 October. The driver and another passenger were treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Portstewart Killing: Four Charged
The weekend murder of a man outside a Co Londonderry nightclub has led to charges against four people. The men will appear before Ballymena Magistrates Court this morning charged in connection with the murder of Trevor Spiers, 23, in Portstewart, last Sunday. A 31-year-old man has been charged with murder, assault and affray.

Three people have been released pending further enquiries over the death of Dessie Mee in Co Down. Mr Mee, aged 45, was found outside Millers House in Newtownards on Regent Street on Tuesday, 26 July. Police have been treating the death as "suspicious". Police were granted an additional 36 hours to question two men and a woman.
