Cadcoevolution receives largest ever single order
The biggest single CAD investment ever recorded in Northern Ireland has been made by Construction Service, an Executive Agency of the Department of Finance & Personnel.
The massive order comprises 42 seats of Autodesk’s Architectural Desktop purchased from cadcoevolution, the Belfast-based CAD software and solutions company.
Cadcoevolution won the order following a competitive tendering process, and together with a previous order of 17 seats, has supplied the new system for various sites throughout Northern Ireland. Construction Service deals with government building construction contracts on a day-to-day basis, commissioning new buildings, designing anything from minor extensions to new office buildings, and dealing with maintenance issues.
Barry Kennedy, IT Manager at Construction Service, said: “We were impressed that Cadcoevolution had a clear understanding of our business needs. Having a specialised CAD company in the locality helped us to make a quick decision. More importantly, I believe that the solution they are providing will help us improve efficiencies, saving time and resources over the coming months.”
Eamon Morgan, Corporate Sales Manager at cadcoevolution (NI), added: “We are proud to have supplied not only an excellent product, but also our own knowledge and experience to help the Department of Finance & Personnel. This implementation will undoubtedly make a quantifiable difference to the work being carried out by designers within Construction Service.” (MB)
