Man's Body Discovered In Van

A man's body has been discovered in a van on the Shore Road in North Belfast.

His body was found on Monday morning.

SDLP North Belfast MLA Alban Maginness said it makes for a disturbing start to the New Year for people in the area.

He said: "We may not know for a time what the circumstances of the man's death are, but it will doubtless make for an unsettled commencement to 2012 for people in the area.

"Obviously details are scant at the moment, but if anyone has any information, I would urge them to pass it to the police as soon as possible."

The van is said to have been parked on the road since Friday.
