Bike Found In Search For Missing Cyclist
The bicycle belonging to a County Antrim cyclist who went missing at the weekend has been found.
Samuel Campbell, 49, went out cycling on Sunday at 14.15 in the Kells area of County Antrim and failed to return.
His bike was discovered on the shoreline, about a mile outside the village of Glenarm, last night.
Police, the coastguard and civilians are now taking part in a major search operation along the Antrim coast.
The 49-year-old was last seen wearing a red top with the symbol TCG, black cycling leggings and cycle glasses and it is understood that it would be very unusual for him not to contact his family.
Mr Campbell would have often covered up to 20 miles on his outings so prior to the discovery of his bike the search was covering a wide area, including Kells, Ballymena, Clough, Ahoghill and Cullybackey.
