Shot Fired Through Car Window In Antrim
A shot was fired through the window of a car in Antrim last night.
At about 23:30 on Tuesday a man in his house in the Rathkyle estate heard a loud bang outside the house.
The back window of a Renault Laguna parked at the address was found to have been smashed at 09:45 on Wednesday.
Police have recovered what they believe are gun shot pellets from the back seat of the car and are now appealing for witnesses.
Antrim Alliance Councillor Neil Kelly has condemned those involved in a shooting incident.
Cllr Neil Kelly said: "The community is shocked at this incident. I am appalled that anyone could carry out something like this. Incidents like this have absolutely no place in our society and they cause fear in the community. This is a deeply worrying event and my thoughts are with the person whose car was damaged.
"Anyone who saw anything or who has any other information as regards this matter should contact police immediately."
