Derry man described as ‘serious risk’ to women
Police in England have launched a hunt for a Northern Irish man which they describe as posing “a serious and substantial” risk to women.
Greater Manchester Police have taken the unusual step of naming a man whom they wish to speak to in connection with a range of attacks on women across the UK. Adrian McKee, 32, is wanted for questioning in relation to the assaults, although police have refused to give further details as to the number of attacks carried out and over how a long a period.
Mr McKee, originally from Derry, is described as 5’6” and as being of slim build, with blue eyes, a goatee beard and recent cropped brown hair. He also has scars on his wrists and has three tattoos – a scorpion on his back, a red devil on his right arm and barbed wire on his right.
Detective Inspector Mark Roberts, who is leading the investigation said that it was “quite difficult” for the police to release any further information at the moment but the fact that they believed he posed a serious risk to women’s safety “speaks for itself”.
Mr McKee’s whereabouts are presently unknown and police have appealed for anyone with any information to come forward and contact them. (CL)
