Titanic Centre Staff To Have The 'T-Factor'
The operators of the soon-to-open Titanic complex in Belfast have put out a call for people with the 'T-factor' in order to gather a pool of eligible employees.
The £90million complex is due to open in spring this year and will need a 250-strong work force to keep it running smoothly. The operators have invited applicants to audition for job posts by giving a three-minute performance on one part of the Titanic story.
It is hoped that the exercise will reveal the hopeful employees who have passion and good communication for the Titanic story. They will then be employed as guides in the new tourist attraction.
Candidates, who must pre-register with Grafton Recruitment to secure a slot, will be given a script in relation to one of the nine galleries in the visitor attraction, and will be required to give an interpretative presentation.
The new complex is located in the same East Belfast ship yard that the Titanic was built in. It will open later this spring ahead of the 100th anniversary of the doomed liner's sinking.
