Police 'Stumped' Over Missing Cyclist
It is a week on since the disappearance of a County Antrim Cyclist and his whereabouts still remain a mystery.
Police have revisited the route taken by the missing Samuel Campbell who set out on New Year’s Day, Sunday last, and did not return.
On Tuesday Mr. Campbell’s bicycle was found around a mile outside Glenarm.
Searches involving air, land and sea resources have continued along the Glenarm to Carnlough coastline after the discovery.
This followed other similar searches. Mr Campbell would have often covered up to 20 miles on his outings so prior to the discovery of his bike the search was covering a wide area, including Kells, Ballymena, Clough, Ahoghill and Cullybackey.
At the weekend officers handed out missing person leaflets in Larne, Kells and around the Glenarm coastal area. The reconstruction was also used to jog people’s memories.
The 49-year-old was last seen wearing a red top with the symbol TCG, black cycling leggings and cycle glasses and it is understood that it would be very unusual for him not to contact his family.
Police are asking anyone with information or anyone who thinks they may have seen Mr Campbell to contact them.
