Patient Details Lost By Care Provider
A care provider has lost a memory stick that held sensitive personal information about 53 people from Northern Ireland. Praxis Care Limited lost the unencrypted material last August but the details have just emerged.The company has been found to be in breach of the Data Protection Act and has been ordered by the Information Commissioner to improve its procedures. All of those whose information was on the memory stick have been informed.
Robinson Calls For Single Unionist Party
First Minister Peter Robinson says he wants to see the creation of a single unionist party in Northern Ireland. The Democratic Unionist leader said his party is in contact with the Ulster Unionists about the future of the two main pro-Union groupings. He said relations have improved and he urged the parties to work together on a campaign to defend the Union against the threat of Scottish independence.
£25k Worth Of Cannabis Seized
Police have seized £25k worth of cannabis in what is being described as a cannabis factory in the Areema area. Sinn Féin MLA Jennifer McCann said:"I welcome the seizure of these drugs and the closing down of what appears to be a cannabis factory. "Cannabis is the first drug of choice especially amongst young people and its use is usually the first step by many to harder more harmful drugs and has been proven to cause mental health problems. “It has serious side affects including dependancy, depression and paranoia for those who use it with serious affects both on personal life on the community."

Two men have been arrested following the discovery of a suspected cannabis factory at a property in Craigavon on Tuesday 10th January. Shortly after 5.15pm, officers received and responded to a report of suspicious activity at a house in the Carrigart Crescent area.

Man Charged Over £16,000 Cannabis Find
A 22-year-old man has been charged after £16,000 worth of cannabis plants were seized in L'Derry. The discovery was made after police searched a house in the Waterside area on Friday, 22 September. The suspect has been accused of growing cannabis, possession of a Class B drug and intent to supply.

400 cannabis plants have been seized during a police operation in west Belfast at the weekend. The plants were seized on Sunday after officers raided the cannabis factory in the Broadway area as part of a planned search.
