Man Detained Over Dissident Activity

A man is being questioned by police over dissident public activity.

The 52-year-old was arrested in Antrim on Monday by the Serious Crime Branch.

He is being detained at the Antrim Serious Crime Suite.

Man Arrested Over Dissident Republican Activity
Police have arrested a man in relation to dissident republican activity in L'Derry. The 45-year-old was detained on Wednesday and taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite. Detectives said the arrest was part of an ongoing investigation.

Two Men Arrested Over Tang Murder
Two men have been arrested on suspicion about the murder of Carrickfergus businessman Simon Tang over 16 years ago. The men, aged 36 and 38, were arrested on Wednesday morning and taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning. Mr Tang, was attacked and robbed outside his business in Carrickfergus. He was married with two sons.

Seven Arrested Over Fraud And Laundering
Seven people have been arrested and are being questioned by the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch as part of an investigation into money laundering and insurance fraud. Six people were arrested in Ballymena and one in Scotland on Wednesday 29 May. The six were three men aged 53, 31 and 45 and three women aged 50, 26 and 46.

Two Arrested Over Dissident Republican Activity
Two people have been arrested over dissident republican activity in Newry. A 50-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were arrested following searches at properties in the area on Tuesday morning. They have been taken to the PSNI Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

Man Extradited From Ireland To Face Serious Charges
A 33-year-old man has been extradited from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland to face serious charges. The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon. The alleged offences occurred in the Monaghan area between 2020 and 2021.
