Golfers Honoured At Awards Ceremony

A Northern Irish golfing star has been acknowledged with a prestigious sporting award.

Dungannon-born Darren Clarke was honoured with the international sporting award for his win at the Open Championship last year.

He was awarded the Laureus Sports comeback of the year award at a ceremony in London last night.

Another homegrown golfer, Rory McIlroy, also picked up the breakthrough of the year award for his win at the US Open in June 2011.
