UUP Welcomes Omagh Hospital Funding
West Tyrone Ulster Unionist MLA Ross Hussey has welcomed the announcement of the release of funds to the Department of Health specifically for the build of the new Omagh Hospital.
Mr Hussey, who is also Chairman of the Local Hospital Campaign Group, said: "Anything which brings the new hospital closer to delivery is to be welcomed and this announcement will be welcomed by the people of Omagh and indeed throughout Tyrone.
"We have had false starts and promises for a considerable time. Local people do not want to see a glorified health centre in Omagh but a hospital worthy of the name which will deliver the services which we were promised as part of the local enhanced hospital scenario."
