Minister Launches Careers Event
Minister Michelle O'Neill has launched a careers event which is being held at CAFRE, Greenmount Campus on Wednesday 29 February.
The careers event aims to provide Greenmount students with the opportunity to meet with employers in the agri-food industry, discuss employment prospects and the skills and qualifications required for a range of vacancies. A number of industry organisations from the agri-food, landbased technology, agricultural engineering and horticulture sectors will participate in the event. During the event students will also hear presentations from past graduates and get an opportunity to improve their CV and interview techniques.
Minister O'Neill said: "Young people are the future of our industry and I am delighted to launch this careers event which will give the students at Greenmount the opportunity to meet with potential future employers. I know that CAFRE receives strong support from the agri-food industry and I am pleased that this careers event will provide another opportunity for industry representatives and students to come together."
In addition to the careers event, CAFRE are soon to launch a new section of their website to help highlight job opportunities within the agri-food industry.
