Another Attempted Carjacking In Belfast

A woman has been threatened during an attempted carjacking in south Belfast.

Shortly after 09:30 am this morning, she parked her silver-coloured car close to some shops on the Upper Lisburn Road when she was approached by a man.

He threatened her and demanded her car, but was disturbed by a passer-by and made off.

The woman was badly shaken by her ordeal. Police have appealed for witnesses.

PSNI, last month, launched a telephone hotline to help deal with the recent spate of carjackings in the Greater Belfast area.

The inquiry line is manned 24-hours a day, seven days a week and police hope members of the public will use the number to pass on any information they have.
