Internet Sex Offender Targets Up To 50 Schoolboys

Charges against an internet sex offender may include up 50 schoolboy victims, a court has heard.

A detective has said that scores of indecent images and video clips were discovered when they seized an ipad belonging to the 17-year-old accused and that at least 50 injured parties are involved in the case.

The accused teen,who can not be named for legal reasons, has been charged with inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

The child allegedly incited into sexual activity is a 14-year-old boy.

The accused also faces further charges which allege offences of possessing, making and distributing indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children.

It is understood that the incidents happened between August last year and January this year.

He has been release on bail, with conditions which state he is not permitted access to a computer or the internet nor is he go into internet cafes, or any schools or parks without prior approval. A restriction has also been put in place to stop him coming into contact with other children.

He will appear again before Belfast Youth Court on 26 March.
