20 New Job Announcements For Dundalk Welcomed
Senator Moran has welcomed the announcement by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton T.D., that 20 new jobs are to be created in Dundalk.
"The international business consulting and software application firm, Diaceutics, which specializes in personalized medicine, is to create 20 new jobs over 3 years, with the support of government through IDA Ireland. The positions will be located in the incubation centre in Dundalk Institute of Technology and will focus on the further development of Diaceutics Fusion a proprietary web-based software application that provides a range of business intelligence and performance management applications used for personalised medicine planning, collaboration and decision-making for the global pharmaceutical sector.
"The decision by Diaceutics to locate these jobs here is once again a positive indication of the success that has been achieved in attracting top international businesses to Ireland. The Action Plan for Jobs being implemented by the Government is continuing to ensure that getting Ireland back to work is a number one priority.
"We are very fortunate in Dundalk to have the facility of DKIT as a hub for new ventures, and I am very confident that we will be able to attract other international companies from the technology sector to locate here. We have a highly skilled, dynamic workforce which makes Dundalk the obvious choice for innovative, proactive and fast expanding companies with ambitious plans."
Recruitment will begin immediately for IT professionals and industry analysts.

Corus 'To Axe 366 Jobs'
Steelmaker Corus is believed to be axing 366 jobs at its Scunthorpe site in North East England. The company has said that it has "announced proposals to improve the competitiveness of its Scunthorpe site by aligning costs with anticipated steel demand". Consultations with employees and their representatives have begun on the site today.

US-based transit software company, RouteMatch, is to create 25 new jobs with the expansion of its Research and Development (R&D) team in Waterford. The transit software company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and first established an R&D team in Waterford in 2015 to focus on the creation of the company's RMPay payment solutions technology.
