THREE DIE IN ROAD CRASH TRAGEDY
THREE people have been killed in a road crash on the main Dungiven to Londonderry road.
The crash, which took place on the Foreglen Road at around 8pm on Thursday June 15, involved a head-on collision between the two cars.
Two of the dead were a mother and daughter travelling in one of the cars. The third person who died is understood to be a man in his eighties who was driving the other car.
The dead women have been named as 56-year-old Kathleen McStocker and her 20-year-old daughter Mary Bernadette McStocker from Toomebridge. The dead man who has not yet been named is believed to be from London.
There have been a number of serious accidents along the road, and local councillors have called for the busy stretch of road to be upgraded to a dual carriageway or for other improvements in road safety to be considered.
Limavady police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them. (SP)
