Pensioner Dies Following Robbery
A pensioner has died following an aggravated robbery at his Coleraine home.
Reports have confirmed that a 72-year-old was involved in an altercation with a thief who broke in through a window of the Glenmore Gardens property in the early hours of Monday.
Police said he died a short time later.
The alarm was raised by the man's wife, who was also in the house at the time.
The intruder was described as being tall, wearing a dark coloured coat, light grey jogging bottoms and spoke with a local accent.
It is believed he got into the house through a back window.
Police have appealed for information.

Woman dies in road traffic accident
A woman has died following a car accident in Co Antrim on Monday. Police have not yet released the name of the 57-year-old victim who died from her injuries in hospital a short time later. The incident occurred on the Gallagh Road in Toomebridge at about 7pm when the woman’s car was in collision with another vehicle.

PSNI Granted Extra Time To Question Man Over Fatal Stabbing
Police have been granted extra time to question a man arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Belfast. Hazem Ahmed Ghreir, aged in his 30s, died following the incident in the Downshire Place area on Sunday, 04 June. Police have also released an image of the victim on behalf of his family.

21-year-old appears in court following student's death
A man has appeared in a Scottish court charged with assaulting a student from Northern Ireland who later died after being found at a nearby roadside. Liam Armstrong, 21, whose address was not given, appeared in private and on petition from custody at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.

NI House Prices Rise By Over 5% In 2018
House prices in Northern Ireland have risen by 5.5% over the past year, official figures have shown. The NI Residential Property Price Index, which analyses most house sales in the region, released the statistics. 23,687 homes were sold in 2018 and prices increased across all council areas, ranging from 7.7% in Belfast to 1.
