McKeown Suspect Transferred To Psychiatric Unit
A man arrested in connection with the death of Owen McKeown has been moved to secure psychiatric accommodation.
Mr McKeown, 21, from the Dunclug estate in Ballymena, was recovered from the River Bann on Sunday afternoon.
Following a medical assessment, a 28 year old, has been transferred to a psychiatric ward, police have confirmed.
Two other men were questioned but have since been released.

Minister Reacts To Teachers' Union Ballot Threat
Education Minister Paul Givan has responded to the announcement by several teachers' unions that they plan to ballot their members for industrial action over 2024/25 pay. Earlier this year, the Minister provided funding to successfully resolve the long-running industrial dispute over teachers' pay for 2021-24.

19% of of people in Northern Ireland show signs of possible psychiatric disorder, according to a new report released by the Department of Health. Respondents to the Health Survey Northern Ireland report indicated that 45% of females and 29% of males take medication for stress, anxiety or depression.

Economy Minister Conor Murphy has launched the Business Innovation Grant (BIG), a new £4.3 million initiative designed to stimulate innovation and enhance productivity among Northern Irish businesses. The scheme, developed by Invest Northern Ireland and delivered in partnership with Innovate NI, is open to micro-businesses, sole traders, and SMEs.
