McAreavey Trial Adjourned
The trial of two men accused of the murder of County Tyrone newlywed Michaela McAreavey has been adjourned for a day.
Court will resume tomorrow morning (Thursday June 14).
Defence lawyer Rama Valayden requested the time to address outstanding legal issues.
Flags Consultation
Belfast ratepayers have been asked for their opinions about which flags should be flown over council buildings.
A report published last week found that flying the Union flag on specific days only might be the best response to the challenge of contentious flags in a divided society, but Belfast City Council have now asked for the public's views.
To fill out the survey click here or visit the public meeting at the Ulster Hall on September 13 from 2-3pm or from 7-8pm.
Pig Farmer Fined For Pollution
A County Antrim farmer was fined a total of £500 for pollution offences.
Derek Hall of Carrick Road, Monkstown, Newtownabbey, incurred the fine after an officer found a milky liquid discharge in a stream and in the Three Mile Water River, on August 7 last year.

Traffic Warning For South Belfast Ahead Of Northern Ireland Match
Road users are advised to plan for potential traffic delays in the south Belfast area on Friday, 15th November due to the UEFA Nations League football match between Northern Ireland and Belarus. The match will take place at Windsor Park, kicking off at 7.45pm, and it is expected that around 18,000 supporters will attend.

Alliance Launches Consultation To Regulate Unofficial Display Of Flags In Public Spaces
The Alliance Party has launched a consultation on how to regulate the unofficial display of flags in public spaces. The party said the the practice has had a 'significant cost' to Northern Ireland society. East Belfast MLA Chris Lyttle revealed the document – entitled 'Celebration, Not Demarcation' – in a bid to help resolve the issue.

Street Drinkers Pay The Cost
Five people have been fined at Belfast Magistrates Court for drinking alcohol in public. Tyrone McCann, from Richmond Avenue in Newtownabbey, was fined £50 and ordered to pay costs of £66 after he was detected drinking alcohol at Suffolk Road in west Belfast on January 16.
