Conway Congratulates Eirgen As 30 New Jobs Announced
Labour T.D. for Waterford, Ciara Conway is welcoming news that EirGen pharma is creating 30 new positions in Waterford.
"This is positive news and I'd like to congratulate EirGen Pharma on their expansion. The jobs this company are creating are highly skilled, quality positions and given that these employees will be working on specialised cancer drugs, this is very important work that's being carried out in Waterford," said Deputy Conway.
"This company has been working very closely with Enterprise Ireland and the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, and this announcement is an example that the Action Plan for Jobs is bearing fruit.
"My congratulations to Mr Patsy Carney and Mr Tom Brennan on a very proud day. These gentlemen have previously worked for a multi-national pharmaceutical company based here in Waterford, and they are capitalising on the expertise they developed for the benefit of our local economy.
"This is a good news day for Waterford, as the Taoiseach joins us for the official opening of Dawn Meats, which recently announced its expansion and the creation of a further 65 jobs.
"The green shoots of recovery are emerging, and we will keep working together to ensure we have more positive announcements of this kind in future."
