Strike A Pose For Charity

Northern Ireland's 'fashionistas' are being urged to get their diaries out and pencil in the style event of the summer for August 15.

Graduate students from the University of Ulster and Belfast Metropolitan College will be showcasing their designs at a fabulous fashion show.

The show is being produced by Maureen Martin, in aid of Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children, which offers practical support and advice to children with cancer and their families.

The event will form part of the week-long Clandeboye Festival, the ten-year-old brainchild of Belfast-born pianist and conductor Barry Douglas, and will be held at the historic Clandeboye Estate in Bangor.

The fashion show starts at 2.30pm on August 15. It is supported by Camerata Ireland and sponsored by Clarins and Denman. Tickets are £20 and everyone who attends will receive a generous goodie bag.

There will also be a lunchtime concert in the chapel and a free art exhibition in the Ava Gardens – so organizes say make a day of it.

During the festival, Mr Douglas and his Camerata Ireland orchestra will perform along with a host of international guest artists and the Clandeboye Young Musicians. For more information visit www.camerata-ireland.com.
