Rape Arrest Man Bailed
A 20-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the rape of a 17-year-old girl in County Down has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The attack took place in the Lisburn Road area of Ballynahinch on the morning of Sunday 29 July.
Disrepair Landlord Fined
A landlord has been fined £1,000 for letting his property fall into disrepair.
Mark Fegan, of Castleblayney Road in Keady, was prosecuted by Belfast City Council under Article 66 of the Pollution Control Order, for failing to make repairs to his property in University Avenue.
Mr Fegan was also ordered to pay £66 in costs at Belfast Magistrates’ Court.
Sinn Fein 'Soviet-Style' - SDLP Leader
The leader of the SDLP has blasted Sinn Fein for being run along military lines, moving former terrorists into positions of power and being run from the top down like communist parties in eastern Europe.
Alasdair McDonnell, a long-standing critic of Sinn Fein, said people who voted Sinn Fein were 'voting for defiance' and criticised shady links with the Provos, in an interview in the News Letter newspaper.

Police in L'Derry have arrested three people and seized drugs worth an estimated £600. The arrests were made following a proactive policing operation in the city. On Monday, 18 November, officers observed suspicious behaviour from a 39-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman in the Strand Road area.

Detectives have renewed an appeal for information following a deliberate arson attack at a vacant property in the Weaver's Grange area of Newtownards. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 17 November, 2023. Police and firefighters were called to the scene at around 12:40am.
